You and Me on Vacation by Emily Henry

adventurous emotional funny inspiring reflective slow-paced

I loved this book! 😍 I knew I loved Poppy from the moment when she described her clothes like this:
“I look up from the Muppet-vomit explosion of colorful clothing in my bag.” That really spoke to me. IYKYK. 😅

The banter, the inside jokes between two best friends were just perfect. I loved the pacing of the story and there were so many wonderful moments. Swapna did not have a big part in the story line, but she said something so stopping that it will be a part of me forever.

“And, Poppy, when this happens again (which it will), do not go so hard on the apology. You are not the master of your immune system and I can assure you that when your male colleagues have to cancel a trip, they show no indication that they feel they have personally wronged me. Don’t encourage people to blame you for something beyond your control.” - I was screaming at my book about how accurate that is and how more people should take Swapna’s advice. I loved that.

I love when a book becomes more than just a story. To me this was much more than just about to friends falling for each other and finding happiness in the end. This was about how everyone deserves to find that one person who loves every version of you. Not just finding someone who loves you despite your not so flattering versions, but someone who truly accepts you just the way you are and loves you because of it. ❤️

I’m a sworn enemies to loves fan, but if friends to lovers books are all this beautiful, I need more them.

This was beautiful, touching and it resonated with me in so many levels that there’s no doubt in my mind that this deserves all the five sparkling stars I’m going to give. ✨✨✨✨✨
