The Last Note by Grace McGinty

5.0

Grace really did an amazing job with this book. The last Note we follow young Harper going through the grief and pain of losing her mom to cancer. Her whole life her mother had kept secrets from Harper that she didn’t even know existed.

During her grief a young handsome lawyer, Knox comes barring news that Harpers mom has had her memory preserved and she had it put on her will as a last wish to have Harper see her past through her mother’s eyes.

This was an opportunity for Harper to see her Father and know who he is! But instead of just getting answers she’s getting more grief and loss. She has to battle all this new found information while still trying to come to terms with her mother’s passing.

Knox helps her along the way. Harper is feeling like her grievance might be making her feel things for Knox that might not be real. Nonetheless Knox is there to be a friend, lawyer, and maybe more?!?

I really enjoyed this book, Grace wrote this in a way where I felt the loss and the pain Harper went through. I felt the attraction she had to Knox and the happiness he gave her! But mostly I felt the big weight and sadness and tremendous pain Harper felt with the loss of her mother and the knew found information her mother left her with.

And most importantly I felt the love her uncle Steve and Owen felt for her as well as her friend Ash. They built up her broken self to make her whole again. This is such a good read. I really really felt it on a very deep emotional level!

Thank you to Ninetalepublishing and Grace Mcginty for giving me the opportunity to read The Last Note Arc!
