this book didn't make me cry, if it made me cry it would've gotten 5 stars, honestly. but it did give me a hangover and i didn't read for a month. this book broke me, it made me fall in love with the characters and their relationships and then it took them away from me. this book left a lingering sadness and this book lives in my head rent free. i think about Mateo's dad on a daily basis. Adam Silvera's organic diversity was just *chef's kiss* and each character was so beautifully written too. the ending took me by surprise, even though i knew what was coming. i felt like someone was taken from me.
