Finlay Donovan Jumps the Gun by Elle Cosimano
4.0
I need the next one NOW! 4.5
This is the third novel in the Finlay Donovan series. The premise: our main character (Finlay) is meeting with her agent at the local Panera. As they discuss the plot of her new novel and how it must be a “hit” to elevate her “contract,” they are overheard by a stranger who comes to believe that Finlay is a killer for hire. But rather than report her to authorities, this woman wants to pay Finlay (a hell of a lot of money) to knock off her scoundrel of a husband. Buckel up cause this is the start of a whole adventure and it's a hilarious ride.
In this novel, Finlay finds herself spending a week in a citizen’s police academy with her friend Vero trying to figure out who the contract killer is while trying to stay out of hot water with the mob boss pulling the strings.. The situations that these women find themselves in will never cease to amaze me. What made it even better was the fact that Nick was front and center for much of the book. I was thrilled to finally get some progress in Finlay’s and Nick’s relationship.
I had always had so much fun with the Finlay Donovan novels. They always provide all of the action and excitement and we cannot forget the humor! I would highly recommend this series to others. I cannot wait for the next installment in this entertaining series.
