Vampire Zero: A Gruesome Vampire Tale by David Wellington

3.0

Another good book in this very enjoyable series, although I did not like it quite as much as the previous two. Very well written and with a very solid plot, this feels much more like a piece in a larger story arc than the previous novels, which could stand alone. I think I see where Wellington is going with this (as a piece of an over-all story-line) and because this one was more of a bridge did not distract (much) from the excitement. I am thoroughly enjoying the parallel lines of character transformation (human into vampire and police officer into vampire hunter) and am impressed with Wellington's ability to hold a point of tension that is both believable and compelling.
