This was the 2nd book in the Summersweet Island series, and like the first one, there were lots of lol moments. The one thing I thought was odd was that we skipped over Tessa and Brody's story, and they are already together in this one. Hopefully, we get their story soon.
Shepard and Wren went to HS together. He was a superstar baseball player and got drafted right away. He starts messaging Wren on Instagram, and they are always chatting. Then, poof, he ghosts her.
A year goes by, and after a season-ending injury, he decides to retire and move back home to the island. He hopes to make amends with the one he let get away...
Wren is a spitfire, Shep is smitten, and the laughs with the side characters from book one and Owen are great. Kevin is also a great punching bag—a solid 3.75 rounded up to 4 stars for this one.
