Harry Potter y la cámara secreta by J.K. Rowling

I've read the criticism that the plot of this book happens thanks to coincidences and happy accidents, but I've never noticed how bad it was until now. The best example would be the fact that the basilisk, a creature that can kill on sight, was running around Hogwarts for a whole year but never actually killed anyone by pure luck.

I don't particularly like Dobby. I know he's a fan favorite, but to me he's from the most part annoying.

Harry didn't actually defeat the basilisk, it was actually Fawkes the phoenix that did 85% of the leg work.

I can't believe that the Hogwarts professor let Lockhart be in charge of the rescuing Ginny operations even when they knew he was a fraud. They literally told him to do whatever he wanted and didn't try to help in any way whatsoever.

It's really funny to me that the flying car is still somewhere in the Forbidden Forest living his best life.
