Steel Scars by Victoria Aveyard

2.0

Action and excitement, but very little back story or explanation. The writing is witty enough that I will continue on to the main series, but really, if these novellas are meant to be read before the full length novels - they do a terrible job of explaining the rules, goals, or obstacles of the world.

Luckily, there are enough interesting plot points and half sketched characters to entice me to continue reading. However, the world building leaves MUCH to be desired here.
