Having read The Honjin Murders and The Inugami Curse, I was looking forward to this book. I suggest that if you haven't read any of Yokomizo's work before, to start with The Honjin Murders as it is referenced in the book. A pleasant read, and even when you get to the denouement, hold tight, because it ain't over until the epilogue 😉
