The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue by V.E. Schwab

emotional mysterious tense slow-paced
  • Plot- or character-driven? A mix
  • Strong character development? It's complicated
  • Loveable characters? It's complicated
  • Diverse cast of characters? No
  • Flaws of characters a main focus? It's complicated

honestly I never really felt caught by it. I saw the twist coming from a mile away and honestly the only character I wanted to know more about was Henry.
I've loved several of Schwab's other books (savage song and gallant) and I plan to continue with vicious, but I must admit to being disappointed about this one, especially with all the hype .
