Dressed to kill by Brian De Palma, Campbell Black

3.0

First published in 1980 and later turned into a movie, the book centers around a person named Bobbi. Twisty and unexpected, it takes the reader on a wild ride.

I don’t want to give too much away but ultimately a woman is brutally murdered inside a lift. A young escort is blamed for the murder. A psychiatrist is being threatened and taunted by an ex-client. All these threads come together in an explosive conclusion.

The only thing I didn’t like about this book was the ending. That final scene ruined it for me but everything else prior was enjoyable. I like Liz, I may not agree with her line of work but she saved her money and was smart.

3/5 - enjoyable, I loved the twist.

Additional Notes:

If this book was published now it would be accused of being transphobic. I personally don’t believe this book is transphobic at all.
