This is the most boomer book I have read. I will probably give it to my MIL. I think it had it’s obvious issues where it dived a bit too deep into propaganda. (The last Tiger chapter made me gag slightly) but it would be a nice beach read if you try and not take it seriously. All of the characters make stupid decisions but I gotta repeat one. Maturing is not not (excuse the double negative) telling someone someone sexually harassed you. There’s quite a few moral issues and I’m guess historically inaccurate (don’t really know I can think of one maybe, but I don’t know the time period that well) issues as well. I did enjoy the drama enough. Me singing the song in my head stopped around mid way through reading.
