This is a spin-off of sorts from the Beatrice Hyde-Clare books. It’s the next in chronological order, but it features Bea’s flibbertigibbet of a cousin, Flora. Flora decided to investigate the death of Bea’s supposed former beau (who happens to be a figment of Bea’s imagination, but that’s a tale for book 1). Anyway, an entire novel from Flora’s POV is intolerable. The ending was cute, but you have to suffer through 200 pages first. It’s not worth it. I look forward to going back to Bea’s POV.
