Ignite Me by Tahereh Mafi

3.0

Well well well.
Can't say that I saw myself reach the end of this series, but here we are.
I loved Tahereh Mafi's style of writing and frankly was the only thing that kept me going all through the series. Her writing so closely mirrors Juliette's personality and gives insight into her unique way of thinking and feeling. I loved her struggle to find herself and be okay with who she was.
Apart from that, there were many gaps that I thought could've been filled well but weren't. Why did Adam suddenly turn into this cruel human being when he was in love with Juliette?
(I really hope that wasn't done for the sake of a love conflict because that's too cliche and overdone)
WHY OH WHY are Aaron and Adam brothers? W h y y y
How did Aaron love her the minute he saw her?
Why did Aaron's mother die?

All in all, this series would probably be a 2/5. I liked some elements of it, however, I just felt that this didn't need 3 entire books.

The ending was surprisingly anti-climatic and Aaron and Juliette didn't even get a proper moment before the thrid book ended.

But will I be reading the fourth book? Yes.

Aaron is a sweet, lovely, wonderful person and I'm doing this for him only.

Ooh and also for some Adam Juliette fight :))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))

That's all!
p.s i did read the "lift your hips for me, love" and it was slightly less than what i expected for but that's presumably my fault for putting it on such a high pedestal after seeing it on tiktok.

bye now!
