Listing to this series as a casual re-read. Last read the series in early high school.
There is a level of cheesiness with the romantic relationships and at the same time there are some very valid fears within the relationships tackled; a combination my teenage self died for.(would I still throw myself in front of a train for happiness in Magnus and Alec’s relationship….possibly) I still enjoy the story, there are some good twists and mysteries built in. However, it is by no means the most intricate/detailed fantasy plot I’ve ever read. I do appreciate the lack of short term cliffhangers, long term problems both internal and external however have quite a bit on tension left unresolved.
