My second reread...and also the second Ranger's Apprentice book!
I forgot about quite a lot that happens in this book. For starters, I forgot about classic and important characters like EvenlynAKA Cassandra, Princess of Araluen and Erak. I also forgot about how much occurs in this book! The whole Morgarath arc finishes up in just two books, but younger me definitely thought it lasted quite longer! The showdown between Horace and Morgarath was just as intense as I remember, and it stung to see Will and Cassandra whisked away while Halt couldn't do anything 😥
I've been enjoying my reread of the series so far! I think I'll probably continue the series into next year, if not sneak another book before the year is up!
