The Vow by D. Rose

I Love
I love a good marriage of convenience. Something about the trope just has me in a chokehold. This book was a page turner. I couldn’t stop reading. Michaela has the strong black woman persona down. Everything about her character screamed I need a hug but don’t touch me. She was so independent and I loved it but it was also irritating to see she had people people that loved her and wanted to help but she was too prideful to accept it. Sergio is such a beautiful human. He was so caring, humble and level headed. I love his character. Uncle Mike is an awesome friend and uncle and Tia deserves the world she’s the real MVP. These two are my favourite supporting characters. Reyla is an awful friend I really wouldn’t oppose to never seeing her character again. In my eyes she chose and man over her friend every chance she could and when shit hit the fan she came back trying to patch things with Mick and that was not ok. I loved the dynamic for the relationship between Sergio and Mick. It was so loving and definitely different comparing to other marriage of convenience stories. This was very unique. I loved it. Kudos D. Rose you did that.
