Necropolis by Jordan L. Hawk

(I listened to the audiobook version and really enjoy the narrator. He can come across as a bit flat at times, and does Christine's voice in a slightly higher pitch, but it's not as bad as some male narrators. I love the way his voice turns sensual when Griffin is talking to Whyborne.)

The story had an exciting plot and the perfect amount of sex. This author knows how to combine the two in just the right amounts. I like how Whyborne always sees himself as weak yet his actions show him able to meet any challenge. Griffin, who comes across as the stronger of the two, is touchingly vulnerable when it comes to his fear of dark/underground places.

And I always love Christine, even more so in this story. Usually the strong, supporting character, she has her own demons to deal with.

I'm looking forward to the next book in the series.
