The Home for Unwanted Girls by Joanna Goodman

3.0

What I Liked
What I appreciated most about The Home for Unwanted Girls was how much it taught me about a period of history I never knew. It is horrifying to think that orphaned girls were put into insane asylums, sometimes for their entire lives, for the government to save money.

What I Didn't Like
The character development was underdeveloped, particularly in the romantic relationship between Maggie and Gabriel. This did take away from the drama and connection of the story.
