Deceiving the Corsair by Ruby Dixon

5.0

This was by far my favorite book in the series! It was basically Catfish, but it had a better ending and an awesome story line! A human raised by an alien race is afraid to tell the man she is falling for that she isn't the same race as him. What could go wrong?

The Lovesick Fool's navigator, Sentor, needed someone in his grumpy and lonely life and Zoey was the perfect one for him! Over the course of all the books, we kept seeing him avoiding everyone to spend time on the bridge. The whole time, he was talking to Zoey while she was on her own ship! It makes so much sense!

I loved Zoey's three alien brothers! They were hilarious, annoying, sweet, and protective with Zoey and I wanted more! Their interactions were just as good as Zoey and Sentor. I wish there were three more books for those guys! They deserve love too!

The heat was well done and there were a lot more sexual tension moments than the other books had! Plus, this book also loved to rip my heart out and stomp on it. Well done, Ruby.

Overall, the friendship to lovers trope for this was really well done. I wish there was more to the story after this, but I'm okay with this ending.
