Confessions on the 7:45 by Lisa Unger

3.0

RATING: 3.5 STARS
2020; Park Row/Harlequin

I enjoyed Confessions on the 7:45. It was a fun ride, even though some bits were unbelievable and predictable. I think that is my issue with domestic suspense. I am looking for gritty cases, with flawed characters and psychological villains, and this genre is based on unlikeable characters and formulaic stories (complete with twist ending). I think I figured out a solution...I need to go in like I would with an action or romance film. Don't look into it too deep and suspend your belief. As I started to let go of my curiosity and just read it as it came, I started to like the story a lot more.
