The Earl and the Fairy, Volume 1 by Ayuko, Mizue Tani

5.0

Reader’s Notes:
- this is the first of a series and must be read in order

- it takes place in mid-19th century London/Europe

- there is some violence (using guns, knives, and swords)

- there are about 2 curse/not nice words

- some characters had been sold into slavery (prior to the events in this story) & later were used in experiments

Review:
This is another manga/book that I’ve had sitting on my shelf for awhile and just hadn’t opened up. I was confused at times as to who was who (as to me some of the characters look the same/similar enough), but I believe that things got fairly straightened out for me by the end of this book. (It is also possible I was slightly confused because Lydia was confused about if people were who they said they were.)

I am excited to see where this journey leads everyone! It’s already exciting with two different groups going after the same thing and being against each other in that. And with some developments towards the end, I’m curious as to what it will mean for the future of their expedition!
