Love Letters of the Angels of Death by Jennifer Quist

4.0

The was a very well written book. The language flowed smoothly and the dialogue was natural and the descriptions were evocative without wasting words. Reading a book written in second person took some getting used to and there were a lot of time jumps (eg each chapter seemed to either jump ahead or back in time from where the previous chapter left off) which I found jarring. This is definitely a character driven novel rather than a plot driven novel, in my opinion, and that's fine but I think it did make it harder for me to keep reading, especially during the first half. But the ending was really well done - I found it interesting and satisfying and I liked it a lot.
