The Secrets of Sir Richard Kenworthy by Julia Quinn

3.0

A fun and quick read.
Iris had some depth but all other characters felt very peripheral.

I enjoyed the mystery. I did not see the twist coming, it was quite a surprise. But the big reveal resulted in Richard’s character being assassinated. He did not quite redeem himself, I don’t see how he ever could.

The pacing of the plot was a little awkward, the ending felt very rushed. Either the book should have been longer or the twist should have come sooner.

Overall it was fun, and to its credit had an unexpected twist. But by the end I certainly wasn’t rooting for the couple and it ultimately left a bad taste.
