This is the second book that i have read by these two and i can't wait to read more. This book does cover the topic of abuse so this book may not be for everyone. This is a standalone that follows the story of Canaan and Haven, both strugling with their past and are on the path to redemption. and follows what will happen when you want the one that you can never have and the paths that you cross can never be uncrossed. This is well written and is heartbreaking and gave me all the feels that will stay with you from the beginning to the end. this book follows a Roman Catholic priest and their parishioner by following their journey. i loved the two as individuls and as a couple and i love the connection between them
