Wonder Woman: Warbringer by Leigh Bardugo

5.0

As a fan of Wonder Woman, I really loved this. Diana is on an Island filled with Amazon warriors, but compared to them she feels untested and unworthy of her place there, so when she saves Alia and sets off a chain of events that may destroy her island, her fellow Amazons, and the world, she sets of on a quest to bring an end to the Warbringer line. I loved the friendship between Diana and Alia, it was complex and well developed. I loved all the greek mythology and the storytelling. I liked this Diana too. She's only just discovering what she's capable of, and she's discovering what she stands for. I feel like it was left quite open, and I'd happily read a sequel.

Overall, a brilliant start to the DC Icons series, I hope Batman is just as good!
