The Dying Day by Vaseem Khan

4.0

Persis Wadia, India's first female detective inspector back in 1950s Bombay has a tricky case on her hands when an old and very rare copy of Dante's Inferno disappears, as does the Englishman who had been researching it. Perceptive and intuitive, she makes life difficult for herself by her own prickly and easy-to-take-offence character. Twists, turns, another unexpectedly connected case, and her awkward relationships with colleagues, especially the Englishman Archie Blackfinch make for another gripping yarn from Malabar House.
