The pacing in this book was off. Things that should've been more fleshed out, such as new relationships, were rushed and forced. Weitz also heavily relied on overused YA tropes to carry along his plot.
However, there were parts that were more entertaining than others. I also enjoyed the new POVs of the other characters, but wish he had integrated them more throughout the novel.
Overall, it was too short and would've benefited from another 50-100 pages of character development. It felt like there were only 3 major plot points which are too little for a full-length novel.
