Lost Lake by Sarah Addison Allen

3.0

I've read almost all of this author's other books, and enjoyed most of them. This one just didn't do it for me. I think there were too many different characters, and you just never had the time to get to know any of them enough to really care about them. The stories for each of the characters all seemed so haphazard, like they were maybe supposed to some how intersect and have something in common, but they really don't. It all came together in the end, but it wasn't satisfying. The whole story just didn't make much sense, it was just thrown together like a patchwork quilt, and in the end, that quilt was functional but it looked funny. Also, I have always been intrigued by all the 'fanstasical' elements in this author's stories, but they seemed disjointed and not well thought out or explained in this book. Overall, this book was ok, but not one I'll be reading again or recommending to anyone.
