Till I Found You by Michelle Fernandez

Julian "Booker" Cruz is a former Navy Seal who is now working for KSIG security firm and tends to bury himself in his work. When the case comes up of a woman he briefly met two years prior he knows he needs to get himself on her case.

Chloe Harper Channing is the daughter of Judge Frank Channing and is a doctor but was injured in a mugging six months ago and her father is worried about her safety. When Chloe and her best friend, Phoebe Powell, head to the Bahamas for a vacation she is ready for some down time to relax.

As Julian pretends to be someone who helps out where Chloe is staying will she remember who he is and will he be able to keep her safe from whomever may be after her?

This was a really good book and I hope the author turns it into a series.

I really liked Julian and there was so much more to him when you discover why he has buried himself in his work and the guilt that he lives with. I hated how much he couldn't forgive himself for the past and I was really hoping nothing would go sideways with Chloe that he would take the blame for.

I thought Chloe was a great character and I loved that she was a doctor and she was following in her mother's footsteps with all of the charity work. I felt bad for her that she had lost something and was struggling with that aspect of her life and the blanks.

The chemistry between Chloe and Julian was apparent right from their first meeting and continued in the Bahamas. Yet Julian knew he had to try to remain as professional as he could and not let his personal feelings interfere with his job.

I wondered at times who was behind things and I had a couple of guesses but was totally off the mark!! I was definitely shocked when everything went down and was worried when things began to happen and then the small twist before the big thing was huge for explaining the reasons behind it all.

The very end was awesome with the dedication and I was so happy that Julian and Chloe were able to get their happy ever after!!
