千秋 [Qian Qiu] by Meng Xi Shi
4.0
I admit that I started reading it because I found the ship between YW and SQ first. But then I got really caught up with all the political intricacies and specially with the characters.I have the feeling that it's the type of novel that gets even better when you read it a second time, cause I'm pretty sure there's a lot of the political things I missed.
Gosh I have so much to say that I don't even know where to start or if I'll make sense.
I really loved Yan Wushi and Shen Qiao and the way their relationship develops.
YW is a little bitch, he knows it and he doesn't care, he just does whatever he likes and when he wants to. For a second I wondered if he would change his ways a little bit after being with SQ all the time, but he didn't and I love that.
And Shen Qiao, he's so strong in so many aspects. I enjoyed his journey a lot, the way he rises from the ashes and finds a way to persevere even in the worst times without losing himself is truly wonderful.
Now the fact that the journey ended where it started is *chef kiss*
