The Rebel King, by Kennedy Ryan

5.0

The Rebel King is the conclusion to the All the King's Men duet by the talented Kennedy Ryan. The Kingmaker was fantastic and I've been waiting to see what was going to happen to Lennix and Maxim. I was not disappointed! The suspense, pain, love, lust, struggle, and heartbreak just about killed me. I was sucked in from the very first word and couldn't read fast enough. I needed to know what was going to happen next. It was like gasping for air. My heart almost couldn't take it! Maxim will do everything for his Nix. She's is soul mate. He doesn't always handle things the right way, but the need to protect her is the strongest thing he's ever felt. He would fight any man for her. He would die for her. Lennix is independent. She doesn't like being told what to do and where to go. But being with Maxim brings changes she's not sure she's ready for. She didn't work this hard to just give up her dreams. They have an uphill battle and sometimes can't see the end of the road, but they want to travel it together. Is their love strong enough for everything that will be thrown at them? Can they learn to compromise for love? This story. My heart! I had to stop reading at one point because I couldn’t see through my tears. Kennedy's books always squeeze my heart, but this was something special. Her writing just keeps getting better and better. She's in a league all her own.
