23 Otonos Antes de Ti by Alice Kellen

4.0

I really enjoyed this, although not quite as much as 33 Razones para volver a verte. I think part of it is just that I went into 33 Razones with absolutely no expectations and it ended up being one of my favorite things I read last year, so my expectations were definitely a lot higher starting this book. And then the other part of it is just the set-up for 33 Razones with the second-chance romance element worked better for me. But this was still really great! I loved the domesticity Luke and Harriet fell into fairly quickly after Luke started staying with her. And while I missed the dynamic between Luke, Mike, Rachel, and Jason from 33 Razones, I did love the little bits we got of them here, particularly in their text conversations. I did find the last-minute drama at the end with
SpoilerLuke planning on leaving without saying goodbye but then changing his mind and deciding to stay with her but then Harriet finding out he was going to leave and getting mad anyways
pretty frustrating. I mean, yeah, he almost made a mistake, but he did the right thing!! It felt a little contrived just so that there would be some tension/drama before ending up together. But overall I still really enjoyed this, and I hope Jason gets a book next!
