Guardians of the Galaxy: The Junior Novel by Chris Wyatt

2.0

What I don't get about these "based on the movie" junior novels is that they always leave out the ending. They should release them well after the DVD of the movie hits stores or else it just leaves you hanging. At least this one gives the reader a little epilogue that might satisfy their curiosity of what happens to the characters but it doesn't explain the conclusion with Ronan and the infinity stone he took from the Guardians. Yes, we all know what happens but say the reader never saw the movie, they're going to be disappointed in the so-called ending with a promise of another story that may or may not ever get published. So as much as I love the jokes and the behind the dialogue feelings they have, it gets 2 1/2 stars for leaving the reader with a half-assed story.
