Here I am at last, the end of The Green Mile, I had only ever seen the movie and absolutely loved it. After reading the novel I’m kicking myself for not reading it sooner. The characters are all very well written, you can feel the emotions of each one, the anger from Percy, the sadness from Coffey, the joy from Delacroix. The setting is also great, 1932, on the death row, you can feel the dread and despair on each page. I just wish the book had an extra part or two.
