Sheets follows Marjorie Glatt who is the eldest daughter of a family whose mom died and the father has become despondent and unavailable. The second storyline follows Wendell who is a kid who has passed away and living in the ghost world. These two stories eventually end up intertwining.
This graphic novel is a great book for middle grade or young adult age who have experienced or is experiencing grief. #deadmomsclub
This novel is cute and the story has some quick resolutions that felt rushed, but I don’t think that’s the point of the story. I also believe in books dealing with grief that those quick resolutions are important because it brings hope to the reader. I think YA readers who are experiencing the grief of losing a loved one will find some connection or relatability and that’s the main purpose of this novel.
