This book was a fun mix of historical fiction and magical realism. I loved the female lead and even more, I loved the relationship between her and the ghost-like male lead character.
A little disappointed on that end that we were not left with more to their relationship. The end was too quick to move me to emotion.
This plot had a great backbone, beautiful prosaic descriptions, but to me, the action moved a little too fast and the in-between dragged.
