Black Widow Vol. 1: The Ties That Bind by Kelly Thompson

5.0

Seeing Natasha Romanoff vulnerable is..new. What's newer still is seeing her happy and unburdened with a husband and son she completely adores. I had a great time reading this, everything about it is brilliant - from the artwork and writing to the action sequences that left me gaping at my laptop. I love that her friends (Clint and Bucky!) and her sister have her back even when she's been brainwashed into forgetting who they are. And despite the fact that we watch Nat lose so much yet again, there's something hopeful about the fact that there are still people in her life who she can trust to hold her while she cries.
