Now, this was a nice doppelganger story. It reminded me of all the Vampire Diaries ( [b:Origins|7726143|Origins (The Vampire Diaries Stefan's Diaries, #1)|L.J. Maybe because it was short?
It also reminded me of Joyce` [b:A Potrait of the Artist As A Young Man|21951878|A Potrait of the Artist As A Young Man|James Joyce|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1397949296l/21951878._SY75_.jpg|3298883] in that he had that otherworldly depiction of the school. Well, the first school, because this character gets to row through three different schools. Talk about efforts in trying to escape a destiny.
