Daisy Jones & The Six by Taylor Jenkins Reid

4.0

Fantastic from start to finish; what an engaging read! Reid's choice to present this story via an oral history is a stroke of genius, as it leads to multiple overlapping perspectives that shed so many different lights on each situation. The time period as well as the wild, crazy rock and roll lifestyle are both captured perfectly through the band's journey. These characters are all so well-drawn that it's hard to believe that they are fictional, and it had the feel of watching an episode of VH1's Behind the Music. I desperately wanted to hear each one of these songs and it was great fun to envision all of the performances in my head. Very enjoyable and rather heartbreaking at times.
