Basically this can be summed up with: you should probably know who Edgar Allan Poe is prior to reading this book because the themes deal heavily with morbidity, death and the macabre with the fascinating inclusion of Lenore as a muse. I loved the author's spin on muses and would love to read further works that deal with this. Personally, I am not a massive fan of all of the high-action; but the story and concept were compelling and saw me happily through to the end. It's clear that this was a subject the author was passionate about and on which research was done. I plucked this book up at random on sale and am astonishingly happy with what I paid for!
