Heartstopper Volume 1 by Alice Oseman
5.0
Heartstopper is such a good quick read. Normally I don’t read graphic novels. I get them for my kiddos but I feel like I am cheating myself of world building or depth when I read them. That was not the case for Heartstopper.
I read it based on reviews from TikTok and Facebook and I am glad I did. My heart bled for Charlie and I was love Nick. His challenges of understanding so real to me. These are struggles that so many people face but put into a wonderful context. I picked it up and couldn’t put it down. I even feel the need to read book 2 just to find out how they overcome the pressures/confusion/pain they both feel. I don’t know if I will read the entire series but I am glad for at least this one.
