Born To Darkness by Suzanne Brockmann

2.0

Paranormal meets Navy seals, I'm not entire sure what to make of this series from the author of the troublemaker series. Based off the concept that people are separated into Greater-Thans and Less-Thans (again based off the fraction of their brains that they're able to utilise), what results is a strange mix of romance, Paranormal and the X-Men?

Powers range from the standard telekinesis to metal manipulation and mind control, it's Paranormal gone a little wild and not entirely effective in this world which doesn't seem to impose any limits or disbelief on itself.

I do appreciate the efforts of the author to keep the cast of characters interesting, and always love Brockmann all the more for her casual including of a gay couple. Unfortunately it's not quite enough to make me bite and believe in this world building.
