I’ve been meaning to re-read this (and the rest of the Realm of the Elderling books) for years, after first reading this first Liveship book 10 years ago. I knew I enjoyed it the first time around, I probably enjoyed it even more this time. It was long enough ago that I read it the first time that I didn’t remember all of the twists and turns, just the vague story. Robin Hobb is one of the greatest. I’m going to dive right into Mad Ship!
