Read this as a kid, maybe 11 or 12 and gave it 3 stars at best but I definitely only took it at face value back then, rereading with my frontal lobe fully developed made it so much better! Fully so much more appreciative of the world suzanne collins made and the underlying message it tells, I can’t wait to reread the rest of the series and relive it with different eyes.
