I came into this having seen the movie a handful of times. I was expecting this to be very similar to the movie, that being said they were very different. Outside of the basic idea, the two are pretty different. Which in some way might have been a good thing since I didn’t know exactly what was going to happen next.
While I overall enjoyed this, it did have a lot of slower moments just filled with random banter about the 80s. I would at times find myself drifting in these sections, though soon drawn back into the story. I found the audiobook to be extremely addictive. In general I had a blast with this book.
