Divinity by Matt Kindt

2.0

A sort of self-contained Valiant story that includes Unity for the last couple of issues. It introduces a Russian astronaut, gives you his entire backstory, and then thrusts him into conflict with Unity.

It feels really rushed, and it's hard to form much empathy for the character, even though his story should make you feel for the protagonist.

Overall, this story feels really unnecessary for the Valiant universe at large, and I wonder why there is a Divinity II coming up in my read-through. Volume one seems completely skippable.
