I don’t know how anyone could give this book less than 5 stars. This is an absolutely beautiful story. The way it is written, where we get the perspectives of multiple people, is incredible. It does not make history seem harsher than it was, but it certainly doesn’t glamorize or sugarcoat anything either. Absolutely incredibly, so well done.
