When Things Fall Apart: Heart Advice for Difficult Times by Pema Chödrön
Did not finish book. Stopped at 34%.
this book does have gems of wisdom here and there, but lacks actionable and concrete advice/frameworks that you can actually incorporate into your own life. whenever i felt like the author was starting to make a compelling point, she'd switch gears instead of elaborating on her ideas. the focus on buddhist spirituality and philosophies could've been interesting, but it felt more like she just assumed you'd "get" the profound meaning behind certain stories without her actually needing to explain them. many of the chapters fell flat for me and just didn't click. this self-help book operates more on vibes and spirituality than evidence-based, clearly-explained frameworks.
