The King in Yellow by Robert W. Chambers

3.0

While certainly imaginative, the initial themes of the collection seem to disappear by the end and leave the reader with a bunch of rather disappointing love stories rather than the horror and paranormal oriented ones that draw the reader in. Even the most interesting ones are rather predictable and don't deliver on the promised madness of the back cover. Still it is entertaining enough especially for fans of Lovecraft.
